Family Care is a Nottingham based independent not-for-profit voluntary agency supporting children and families.
Family Care positively shapes children’s futures by:
- Offering practical and emotional support to children and their families in a range of situations eg bereavement or domestic violence
- Providing child protection advice and training
- Delivering a comprehensive adoption service, including family finding and adoption support
Examples of two current programmes that need support include:
- Provision of 1:1 emotional help sessions for children and young people who need support in coping with parental separation
- Professional review, and electronic storage of life informing adoption information to improve access for birth and adoptive families
